  • Gethsemane Gospel Church is situated in Wattala, the outskirts of Colombo. Although the church began with 6 members, church has grown immensely. Now it is a dynamic and growing community of Christian believers: more than 10,000 people are members and around the Island. In our mani service around 800 people attend the Sunday morning, which holds 5 services consecutively. The congregation consists of people of all ages, but includes a large number of young families.
  • Presently, Gethsemane Gospel church has 65 branches on its own, 116 full Time Pastor, 20 Evangelist and 100 co-workers serving under the guidance of Rev.Anton Rajamani.
  • The Pastor’s strong vision is to raise a church that is enriched with the teaching of the word of God, move members to disciples and plant churches in the many areas that are not yet evangelized in Sri Lanka and abroad.

NEW CHURCH BUILDING

Dear Beloved Partner in Christ,

Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I write to you on behalf of Wattala Gethsemane Gospel Church, Sri Lanka, with a burden and a God-given vision that has been in our hearts for many years. We have been praying faithfully to establish a Church Building, a Christian Educational Institution, and an Orphanage to serve and transform lives in our community.

At present, our church is functioning in a leased building, which limits our growth and outreach. By the grace of God, a strategic opportunity has opened before us.

A valuable property—½ acre of land located on Main Negombo Road, Wattala—is now available for purchase. This location is ideal for long-term ministry, education, and community development. 

The total cost of the land is:

Rs. 280,000,000 (approximately USD 896,000)

This vision is not only about buildings—it is about impacting generations for the Kingdom of God. Our planned projects include:

A Church Building – A place of worship where lives will be transformed by the Word of God

A Cambridge Curriculum School – From Play School to Grade 12, preparing students for O/L and A/L examinations, offering high-quality, internationally recognized education grounded in Christian values

We believe this is a divine opportunity, and we are stepping forward in faith, trusting God to provide through His people.
