ORIGINS AND FOUNDATIONS
- Founded in 2007 by Sister Florine and Rev. Anton Rajamani, Gethsemane College emerged under the guiding vision of the Gethsemane Gospel Church. Nestled in the heart of Wattala, Sri Lanka, our institution was established as a Christian school with a mission to lead every child toward wholeness and wellness for the glory of God.

OUR CHALLENGES
- In the backdrop of Sri Lanka's predominantly Buddhist landscape, Christians often face challenges in accessing education. Despite Roman Catholic schools admitting Muslims and Buddhists, Christians are denied admissions in numerous areas.
- Presently, economic and political crises have led to substantial financial challenges, impacting our ability to deliver optimal education.
- The current facility, outdated and restrictive, hampers the learning environment, and issues like parking and insufficient space further compound the challenges.

Relocation and New Facilities
- Move to an advanced facility, addressing diverse needs and creating better learning spaces.
- Upgrade classrooms and enhance facilities, including libraries, laboratories, and computer rooms.
Technology Integration
- Equip students with essential technological skills for the digital age
Scholarships and Financial Aid
- Establish a scholarship fund and financial aid programs to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Professional Development
- Prioritize continuous improvement and development for faculty and staff to elevate the overall standard of education.
Financial Partnerships
- Recognizing that the work God has called Gethsemane to undertake cannot be achieved alone, we actively seek trustworthy partnerships to bring financial stability for the school’s development
